La reconstruction d’un scute médiéval, bateau à fond plat, à Savonnières est un projet culturel et patrimonial. Ce chantier fait appel aux savoirs de l’archéologue et du charpentier, pour retrouver les règles de construction et les techniques traditionnelles employées. Pour permettre à tous de découvrir ce patrimoine, le chantier, inscrit dans la durée, est ouvert tous les samedis de chaque mois. A l’initiative des Bateliers du Cher et de François Beaudoin, archéologue spécialiste des bateaux fluviaux, ce projet est soutenu par la Fondation Banque Populaire et les collectivités locales.

The reconstruction of a mediaeval flat-bottomed boat known as a 'scute' in Savonnières is a project of cultural and heritage significance. The work calls on the knowledge and skills of both the archaeologist and the carpenter, to identify the rules by which it was made and the traditional techniques used. The site of this long-term project is open on the first and third Saturdays of the month to give everyone the chance to learn more about this heritage craft. Instigated by the Boatmen of the Cher and François Beaudoin, a specialist archaeologist of river craft, the project is supported by the Banque Populaire Foundation and local authorities.

La reconstrucción de un barco de casco plano medieval conocido como 'scute' en Savonnières es un proyecto de gran significación cultural y patrimonial. El trabajo requiere el conocimiento y las técnicas tanto de arqueólogos como de carpinteros para identificar las reglas por las que se construyó y las técnicas tradicionales utilizadas. El lugar de este proyecto de larga duración está abierto el primer y tercer sábado del mes para permitir a todos la ocasión de aprender más sobre este arte patrimonial. Instigado por los Barqueos del Cher y François Beaudoin, arqueólogo especialista en artes fluviales, el proyecto cuenta con el apoyo de las autoridades locales y la fundación Banque Populaire.
